Papa Meilland is an older, continual blooming, deep, dark velvety red Hybrid Tea rose, the yardstick to which dark red, fragrant roses should be judged. He offers up to near-perfect, 5″ blooms of 35+ petals. However, Papa Meilland does need some care to perform at his best as he can be a bit finicky. Experienced rosarians know he is worth it though! This rose has earned a Gold Medal in Germany and the Hall of Fame from The WFRS and the Gamble Fragrance Award. Papa Meilland is the plant parent to many amazing varieties including The McCartney Rose.
