At Healthy Plant Shop, we nurture every order with the same care we give to our David Austin roses and climbing roses. While we strive for perfection, we understand that sometimes returns or exchanges are necessary. This policy explains our process with the same attention to detail we apply to our hybrid tea roses and perennials.

Our Return Policy

We accept returns and exchanges within 15 days of delivery. To be eligible:

  • Items must be unused and in their original condition
  • Plants must show no signs of mishandling (beyond normal shipping stress)
  • Original packaging must be included where possible

Important Exceptions

Due to their delicate nature, the following items cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Live house plants (due to potential stress during transit)
  • Custom or personalized pottery items
  • Any plants that have been planted or removed from their original containers

How to Initiate a Return or Exchange

Follow these steps with the same care you’d use when planting our fruit & berry plants:

  1. Contact us within 15 days of delivery at [email protected] with your order number and reason for return
  2. Wait for approval – Our gardening experts will review your request within 2 business days
  3. Package carefully – Once approved, repackage items securely (plants should be in their original containers if possible)
  4. Ship back – Send to: Healthy Plant Shop, 2031 Hamilton Drive, Baltimore, US 21217

Return Shipping

Like our careful selection of shipping methods for trees & shrubs:

  • Customer is responsible for return shipping costs
  • We recommend using a trackable shipping service
  • Original shipping fees are non-refundable

Refund Process

Once we receive and inspect your return (with the same scrutiny we apply to our shrub roses):

  • Processing time: 3-5 business days after receipt
  • Refund method: Original payment method (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or PayPal)
  • Timeline: Allow 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account

Exchange Process

For exchanges (like swapping one perennial for another):

  • Follow the same return process above
  • Include a note specifying your desired replacement
  • We’ll ship the new item once we receive your return
  • You’ll be responsible for any price difference

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your plants, pottery, or other items arrive damaged or incorrect (a rare occurrence with our careful packing):

  • Contact us within 3 days of delivery
  • Include photos of the damaged item and packaging
  • We’ll arrange a replacement or refund at no additional cost
